Chad Van Horn

Chad Van Horn brings hustle, heart, and a whole lot of personality into The Fish Tank. A nationally recognized bankruptcy attorney and founding partner of Van Horn Law Group, Chad has helped more than 10,000 people find financial freedom through affordable, client-centered legal solutions. He’s also the author of The Debt Life and Everything You Need to Know About Bankruptcy in Florida.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Chad somehow wound up a Miami Dolphins fan—blame it on geography and peer pressure. After living more years in South Florida than the Steel City, and thanks to a little influence from O.J. McDuffie (and some other Dolphins who’ve grown on him), his NFL loyalties have drifted south. That journey actually started years ago, when Chad was coached and mentored by none other than O.J.’s Penn State teammate, Terry Smith, who helped shape Chad’s leadership style and lifelong drive to give back.

Community is a core part of who Chad is. He’s the former Board Chair for both Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County and Legal Aid Service of Broward County, where he’s led major fundraising efforts and mentored youth and young professionals alike. And yes—he’s also that guy from Squid Game: The Challenge on Netflix (Player 286), where he outlasted hundreds to finish in the top 10, helping his best friend win the $4.56 million prize.
