When Miami Dolphins Head Coach Jimmy Johnson traded out of 19th overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft, he passed up on the opportunity to draft future Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver, Randy Moss, who was selected by the Minnesota Vikings two picks later. Johnson eventually chose East Carolina wideout Larry Shannon in the third round and defended his choice by explaining how Shannon compared favorably to Moss. Shannon, unfortunately, tore his ACL on the first day of training camp and would battle injuries over the next four years, finishing his career playing in just two NFL games, but ultimately becoming a successful high school football coach in Venice, Florida. #miamidolphins #RandyMoss #JimmyJohnson #TheFishTank #podcast #NFLstories #NFLDraft
